What are Parked Domain Names?
A registered domain name which doesn’t yet have any content placed on it is known as a parked domain name – either it will be used sometime in the future or it’s been ‘taken off the market’ so that someone else, like a competitor or cybersquatter (i.e. someone who traffics domain names linked to trade names for profit), cannot use it.

Money can be made by partly developing the domain name, usually be creating a one-page website, known as a parking page. This is then monetised with Google AdSense and affiliate links. Often, owners of such domains choose and register domain names that they think might interest potential buyers, like big corporations, brands or celebrities, with a view to selling them at some point in the future.
